Based on the IAAO Standard on Mass Appraisal of Real Property dated February 2002, jurisdictions may employ a set of digital image technology tools to replace a routine cyclical field inspection with a computer assisted office review.
GEOSPAN
can provide your jurisdiction with all of your imagery needs to meet these standards:
- High-resolution street-view images (updated at least every 6 years)
- Orthophoto images (minimum 6” pixel resolution in urban/suburban and 12” resolution in rural areas, updated every 2 years in rapid growth areas, or 6-10 years in slow growth areas).
- Low level oblique images capable of being used for measurement verification (four cardinal directions, minimum 6” pixel resolution in urban/suburban and 12” pixel resolution in rural areas, updated every 2 years in rapid growth areas, or 6-10 years in slow growth areas).
Tax Assessors have an on-going need for integrated access to property imagery to support their work towards establishing property values for tax assessment purposes.
Having staff collect property photos whenever they visit a property is an effective procedure however it does not eliminate the need for having a complete photo inventory for all parcels.
GEOVISTA
Parcel Videologs™ give assessors the opportunity to see multiple pictures captured from different angles for each property.
GEOSPAN
provides
GEOVISTA®
oblique aerial, traditional orthophotography, and street-level imagery. These complementary perspective views offer the most visual information for every situation where it is impractical or impossible to physically visit a property. The location accuracy of
GEOVISTA
property images also supports precise address and property ID assignment.
The
GEOVISTA
Application Program Interface (API) brings the imagery and a set of image management tools into common Computer Aided Mass Appraisal (CAMA) and GIS systems.
