WOOLPERT AND GEOSPAN IMPLEMENT ASSET MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR ST. JOHNS, FL.
Minneapolis, MN – July 31 - GEOSPAN Corporation collected GEOVISTA™ spatially indexed imagery coverage of all St. Johns, County maintained roads with a vehicle equipped with six (6) cameras to capture 360º views of the road network. The County received a copy of the imagery along with GEOVISTA 360º Visual Surveyor™ software to enable desktop viewing of their 1400-mile road network with the ability to extract sub meter coordinate locations of everything viewable in the imagery
GEOSPAN’s desktop extraction crew used highly automated methods to extract sub-meter accurate GPS coordinates along with various attributes for the following asset types:

Pavement markings

Sidewalks

Signals
-
Street Lighting

Road segment

Handrails
GEOSPAN is also providing data collection services in Horry County, SC and Volusia County, FL to Woolpert to support similar asset management initiatives.
