GEOSPAN AWARDED A FOLLOW-UP CONTRACT FOR THE CITY OF COLORADO SPRINGS, CO.

Maple Grove, MN, June 12/Company issued release/ -- DTS and GEOSPAN Corporation announced today that they will be supporting the next phase of a traffic sign management implementation after successfully delivering a traffic sign inventory for one-third of the City.

The completed first phase provided for a current and complete sign inventory for one third of the City, which was instrumental in Andy Richter with the City of Colorado Springs receiving the APWA Colorado chapter Individual Achievement Award for the City’s sign management implementation. The same procedures of collecting GEOVISTA® spatially-indexed imagery of the City maintained roads will be used to support a desktop building of a street sign inventory with accurate GPS coordinates for the next third of the approximately 90,000 signs maintained by the City. A GEOVISTA ArcGIS plug-in supports bringing 360º street-level desktop viewing to all departments.
